Primitive reflexes are automatic movements that originate at birth (think of the way a baby grasps an object automatically when it’s placed in its hand!). These reflexes typically integrate as the central nervous system matures. Sometimes however, if these reflexes persist, it can be a sign of neurological immaturity or dysfunction - sometimes referred to as Neuro-Developmental Delay (NDD).

Orthovision Founder, Zoran Pejic, is the only INPP (Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology) licensed practitioner in South East Asia, and proudly includes screening for neuro-motor readiness in Orthovision’s assessment process.

If your child is finding it hard to regulate their emotions, stay focussed, is experiencing blurred vision, or has unusual posture whilst sitting or standing for example, it could be worth investigating how and why this might be impacting their learning.

The best thing is - these skills and challenges can be strengthened over time, giving your child the best opportunity to fulfill their potential and grow in confidence and self-esteem.

If you feel your child may be struggling in their learning, we’d love to hear from you.
